Brief Description: Vent + fuel line
|
|
I have been swamped with work for the past 2 weeks, so it's been almost that long since I've done any work!!
Worked on several things tonight, broken up into the Kitlog pages, due to the 3 photo limit.
My fuel vent, which I made a long time ago, did not fit right since the notch in the cowling strap (the black thing in photo #1) was not big enough. So I used a Dremel cutoff wheel, some needlenose pliers, and some files, to make it bigger and get the vent in there (photo #1).
I decided to use flexible hose for my fuel system. The rigid line I had made to go from the tank through the firewall, was not giving me a warm-and-fuzzy. All those ridig connections in a vibrating airplane, and right where occupants can kick it.
It's tough to figure out what fittings and hose you actually need. I got some great help from several people on the SonexTalk forum, and ordered parts online from an automobile speed shop.
I went to YouTube to see how to put it together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwmvRWuAwno&feature=youtube_gdata_player (How to Install AN Hose Fittings)
