Brief Description:

continued...

- Put the two tubes together with the holes facing one another (so air can vent up, through and down)

- Put the AN fitting nut on the tube with the flare (if you don't put it on now, you can't get it on later) (photo #1).

- Little bit of masking tape around fitting so JB Weld will not fill them up (you can see the tape in photos #1 and #2)

-Slather on the 15-minute JB Weld (no strength needed here) in the crease between the two tubes (photo #1).

- Also fill the open ends of the two tubes, being careful not to let it run down into the two face-to-face holes (photo #2)

- Let the JB Weld set for 15 minutes, the mix some more and slather it on until the whole set of two tubes is covered. It is now relatively smooth, but I'll file and sand it uniform later, and then paint.

- Last photo is of the notch I'm cutting above the fuel tank vent hole. The new vent tube will stick up through here and be visible from outside the aircraft.
