Put together and installed the fuel tank fittings that I had on hand.
- As some others have done, I added an "L" extension to the handle of the shut-off valve to allow me to rig up a handle on the instrument panel to shut the fuel off without having to reach under the instrument panel (photo #1).
- Put together and installed the shut-off valve assembly (photo #2). All threads had Permatex teflon thread sealant added before inserting the fittings. It's a high temp thread material that is used for fuel systems.
- Installed the other two fittings I had on hand: the drain valve and the 90 degree elbow for one end of the fuel sight tube that goes on the instrument panel (lower right corner of photo #3).
