The nylon wheel I was using on the brake arm was crushing under the load of pulling back the brake cable. So I bought a new 1" dia wheel, but in BRASS.
The new wheel is the same diameter, but it's thicker through the mid section and would not fit in the standard Sonex bracket for the wheel. So I upsized with a larger piece of bar stock.
So I got about 3/4 of the way through making a new piece of hardware to replace the old.
