- Attached the flap handle to the bracket on the flap tube.
- Test fit the flap tube assembly in place (photo #1).
- 3 problems: a. The flap handle at rest sits between the detent bracket and the fuselage (photo #2), By a large amount. I will need to bend the flap handle at its base where it meets the flap tube bracket. No other way I see to make it work. Except perhaps mounting the handle on the inside of the bracket instead of the outside (the plans clearly show it on the outside). b. With the flap handle all the way forward, and therefore canted forward, the forward detent will not catch the handle. I need to remove some material from the detent (upper part of photo #2). c. With the flap handle all the way back it hits a rivet sticking out from the spar tunnel, and therefore the rear detent will not catch the handle. I need to remove some material from the detent (photo #3).
