I pre-drilled pilot holes in the inner brake drum per the holes I had located previously, with the wheel pants in place. I could only drill THREE of the suggested 4 holes. One hole location is fully behind the gear leg and there is NO way to get a drill or a fastener in there.
I had to take the entire wheel/brake assembly off. There was no way to tap holes, working around the landing gear leg.
I had a devil of a time tapping the drum. In fact I was unsuccessful after 1/2 hour of trying. I will try again tomorrow.
