Brief Description:  Wheel pants

- Finished epoxy-ing the filler piece on the cowl, started a couple of nights ago.

- Used Max Emmighausen's suggestion to use a large piece of sandpaper (photo 1) to even out the cut at the bottom of the wheel pant. Those horizontal edges come a bit wavy, making equally measuring up to the axle centerline, difficult.

- Then used some 0.025 aluminum to make some reinforcing for the inside of the wheel pants (photo 2). Others have noted that grass strips or rough landings have torn at the fiberglass when there are only fasteners holding it in place. The reinforcing will be fiberglassed in place.

- In photo 3 I've first epoxy'ed the reinforcing in place. Then I'll fiberglass it.

- I also prime painted the fuel door (not shown) and put another coat of paint on the air/oil separator pieces.
