Brief Description:  Wire guard/tray

I installed all my wiring after the fuel tank and glare shield were installed. This means I didn't have the benefit of working from above, and running everything super neatly. So although I have all my wiring safety tied and supported, it still looks like spaghetti, and I've been afraid that the wiring will hang down over time, especially if pulling G's.

So I fabricated a simple "gauard/tray" that is secured to the instrument panel cross member, and extends out into space. It's very stiff and hides some of the spaghetti, while providing a separation between my legs and the wiring.

============

Unrelated to wiring, in photo 3 you can see oil beading up on the acorn nuts that hold the oil sump plate. There are two cardboard gaskets for the plate, and they are obviously having some trouble holding back the oil. So I will have to drain the oil, remove the plate, install new gaskets, and then probably add some thread sealer or flexible gasket material somewhere.
