- Per the previous page, photos 1 and 2 show some of the interferences where the horizontal stab skins are against the fuselage skins and/or against some of the rivet heads. I will need to do some light trimming to get the horizontal stab fitting properly.
- The up-elevator stop is not hitting flush, and is striking the filet of the T12-05 angle (photo #3). This will only get worse as I move the horiz stab forward (after trimming the skins). As it is configured now it will quickly put a dent or gash in the T12-05 angle, so I will need to file/grind some of the stop to at least get rid of the corner that is bashing the angle. The plans say to do this for the rudder stop, but not for the up-stop. No matter, it has to get done. No other way around it.
- Besides, I'm having trouble getting the 160 deg up-angle called for in the plans for the elevator. Grinding the stop may give me the extra play I need to get the proper angle.
