- Deburred both sides of all the holes in both elevators.
- Cleco'd in place, then riveted the top and bottom surfaces of both elevators. The leading edge face and the hinges are next.
I would have gotten more done, but I had a rivet get stuck in my rivet gun. The mandrel was half way in the rivet puller and would not go forward or backward. I finally had to cut it with diagonal cutters, then cut it flush with the rivet, and finally drill out the rivet. It was a tough one to drill out, since it had never set, and that meant the rivet was free to spin in the hole, which it did with great speed and vigor. I did finally get it out, but it took about 20 minutes.
