- Installed the water bottle holders (made for bicycles) on the forward face of the spar tunnel; one for the pilot and one for the passenger).
- Drilled pilot holes, dimpled from inside spar tunnel, and set with countersunk rivets.
- Then worked on installing seat belts. I go the rear attachments done (photo #3 + more on next page), and the outside attachments for both pilot & pass seat belts. The plans call for a single AN5-13A bolt to secure both seat belts at the center of the seat pan, but there is NO way a -13 will span the 2" space, plus the washers, plus the seat belt triangles themselves. I measured and a shank of 2-3/4" is needed. Of course I don't have such a thing. Next A/C Spruce order...
UPDATE (1/2/12): I am building the lowered seat mod. In that configuration the attachment area is made wider, requiring a -27A bolt. I ordered the bolt, used a couple of washers, and everything works fine now.
