The un-riveted assemblies allow for lots of flexibility in construction. I could remove some pieces to get to others that would have been difficult, at best, to get to. I was also able to updrill these sub-assemblies, which was a LOT easier and cleaner than doing it in place in the fuselage.
Go everthing updrilled throughout these sub assemblies.
Also pilot drilled for the nut plates that will hold the C06-08 cover in place (photo #3, low seat mod, only). Nut plates will be tomorrow.
Interestingly the plans say to drill into all these angles from below, using the pilot holes in the bottom of the skin. But there ARE NO HOLES INDICATED FOR THIS SKIN ON THE PLANS. And nothing noted for the spacing of the holes in these channels. So I layed them out myself, 1" apart, on the bottom flange of the channels. Next I will install in the fuselage and use my 12" drill bit to drill through the pilot holes and on through the bottom skin.
All of the floor structure is removeable to make it easier to drill and assemble
