Brief Description: Installation of fwd fuselage side panels
Moved the tailcone back to my workbench. I was going to install the side panels while everything was on sawhorses, but that just seemed difficult and impractical, so I decided to move to the work bench so I can work off of the bench surface.
- Installed the bottom skin of the tailcone with clecos to keep everything square.
- Raised the end of the tail until the top of its side skins were level.
- It took a little tweaking to get all the skin and bracket overlaps correct, but I finally go the right panel in place and clamped.
- Then I leveled the front panel, figuring if the tailcone is level and the forward fuselage side panels are level, the whole fuselage will be in alignment.
It's staring to fill up the basement!
With the tailcone leveled, I leveled the forward right side panel
