Brief Description:  5 Aft tailcone assembly

7. Re-cleco the assembly of Post/Mount/Spacer to the rear of the tailcone.

8. Re-cleco angle F23-04 to the lower longerons (photo #1).

9. Locate angle F23-03 tight against the small black plate of the F23-01 Mount, and tight against the lower longerons (photo #1).

10a. Using the holes already in the lower longerons, use your 3/32" drill bit, up from below, to just start a mark on the -03 angle. I couldn't get a clamp in there, so I reached down and held it in place while drilling from below. All I needed to do was get a good mark on the lower face of the angle. Then I removed the angle and finished the hole on my work bench.

10b. Put the angle back in place and cleco the one hole you just made. Hold the angle tight in place again, and use the drill to start a mark on the lower surface of the channel. Remove the angle and finish the hole on the bench.

10c. Reinstall the -03 angle with clecos.

11. From the aft end of the tailcone drill through the assembly, into the F23-04 angle to create the 4 holes in the vertical leg (in photo #1 the 4 holes have been drilled and cleco'd).

12. With F23-03 in place, use your drill to start the 4 holes that join the angle to the F23-01 Tail Wheel/Skid Mount. Remove the entire tailcone assembly and drill out the 4 holes on the work bench.

13. Remove angle F23-03.

14. Put Bulkhead F23-02 in place against the small black plate of the F23-01 Mount, then reinstall angle F23-03 against it. That will sandwich the -02 bulkhead between the black plate and the -03 angle (photo #2 & #3).
