Brief Description:  Aft fuselage, lower skin

- Used masking tape to hold the fuselage sides against the edges of the lower skin.
- Pilot drilled and cleco'd the lower skin to the longerons and the forward channel.

Earlier I took pictures of how I laid out the aft fuselage, but didn't really describe it.

- My work bench is exactly 40" wide (same width as forward end of the aft fuselage tail cone).
- So I drew a centerline down my work bench and centered the forward end of the tail cone (easy, since I just aligned with the outside edges of the 40" workbench).
- At the aft end I screwed an angle to the work bench, to use as a "backstop" to push the fuselage against.
- There is a dimension per the plans, for the distance of the two side skins from one another.
- At the angle, on either side of the centerline, I marked off that distance.
- Now I set two small nails on those two marks (barely visible in photo #2).
- Now I could place the two skins against the inside faces of the two nails, giving me a continuous and repeatable way to maintain that distance at the aft end of the tail cone.

Works like a charm.
