- Thread hinge pin so 1 loop was at each end of the aileron.
- Raised the aileron until it was just a hair off the floor, and I could see the trailing edge was level.
- With a 1/2" drill bit (with tape so it didn't mar the aileron) under the trailing edge, I drilled out the lead until the trailing edge bumped the drill bit. Then I knew it was 1/2" (max) per the plans. Actually it's probably 1/16" or 1/8" less than 1/2", since I needed to see a little daylight under the leading edge to know the aileron was off the floor, and level across the leading edge.
- Also added some more coats of paint to the left aileron and wing tip. Aileron will be ready for the start of clear coating in 2 days. The wing needs to get flipped to paint the top side red.
- Also worked on enlarging the basement/garage door. Got all the drywall off. Now I need to move the electrical switches and outlets so I can reframe the wall and add the new double doors.

While holding the leading edge, put a 1/2" drill bit under trailing edge.
