- First did a test run on a narrow piece of aluminum of the correct length, with the bend lines drawn. It came out a little short (about 2mm, which DOES make a difference with the skins).
- So I drew one of the bend lines out by 2mm on the first real skin, and bent.
- Made the 3 bends as shown here and on the next page, using pieces of scrap aluminum with the correct bend angles cut in them, to measure while bending (see the photos during the rudder and elevator bending).
- The 2x4 is necessary to get the maximum bend possible on the brake.
