LEFT wingtip install
Installed the wing tip (actually it's called the "tip rib", but it's not really much of a rib).
- Held the tip in place with blue painter's tape.
- Pilot drilled all the holes.
- Updrilled all the holes to final size (according to the Sonex instructions, no need to countersink the rivets on the leading edge skin.
- Located and taped on the wingtip light pod (they are GuagePods, made for the Sonex).

- Put the tip ribs side by side and located the RIGHT wing tip pod to match the left wing (photo #3).
- Drilled a hole in the wing tip for the wires for the lights.
- Turned the wing over and deburred all the wingtip holes.
- Then began planning the layout of the wing walk.
Fiberglass wingtip pilot drilled in place.
The "fits much better" leading edge.
The wingtip light pod, with the outline on the other wing tip.
