While the skin was on the ribs I decided to make the cutout for the Duckworks landing light, in the leading edge skin.
I laid out the template over the leading edge, then cut it out with the metal cutoff wheel of my Dremel tool. The old adage of, "let the blade do the cutting; don't force it," was VERY true. Otherwise it would bind or even stop the blade.
Once the rough cutting was done I finished with a round rasp file and two finish files. Some sandpaper finished the job (being careful to to use any at the polished outside skin).
