Yes, it's a STICK! In photo 3 you see a screw (with the sharp point ground off), in photo 1 you see the whole stick with marks up it, and in photo 2 you see the marks up close. This was suggested by other builders.
When skinning, the ribs sometimes need to be tweaked to align the rib centerline marks with the pilot holes in the skin. With this stick I can put it down the lightening holes, grab a rib with the screw, and push or pull the rib into place.
The numers are so I know what rib number I am at. The rib number will be seen at the wing tip, so with the stick up at the #8 rib, the "8" mark is seen where my hand is, at the wing tip.
The stick doesn't reach all the way up the wing, so tomorrow I'll add numbers/marks of a different color, for inserting from the ROOT end of the wing.
