No work the past couple of days. Out of town on business.
Worked on the Duckworks landing light. I'm puting it in the right wing because I think the wiring will be easier (I won't have to work around the throttle, flap handle and brake handle).
When puting in the nut plates I drilled the center hole first, but needed to hold the nut plate in place with a cleco. Since the nut plat hole is larger than the cleco and the pilot hole, I drilled a 1/8" hole in a little piece of scrap aluminum (photo #1) to allow the cleco to hold, and pull the nut plate against the rib.
I did not drill the final 4 holes (for rivets) in the adjustable mounting bracket (right side of photo #3), because the final spacing of the ribs will be dictated by the leading edge skins. After the skins are cleco'd in place, then I'll do those final 4 holes.
Nut plate with cleco. Needed a scrap piece of alum w/ 18/" hole for the cleco to grab.
The Duckworks light bracket mostly in place. The box in back is the transformer for the HID light.
