Brief Description: LEFT WING - Begin - Rib mods
|

Moved the right wing off to a wall in the basement to await further work. Then cleaned up the workbench to clear the deck for starting the left wing.
Began the modifications to ribs #1 - #5 (photo #1), which includes notching the aft ribs and adding gussets. Prior to that I made the enlarged lightening hole mod to the forward root rib (photo #2).
Photo #3: My 6 yr old daughter, Sophia, told me how to design a box for her to hold her silly bands in, which I drew up as she described it. Then I measured and she drew the lines. And between the two of us we made the cuts, finished the edges, and bent it all up with the hand seamers. Tomorrow we'll drill and rivet, then prime paint.
