After cutting the root ribs I aligned each rib on the full size plan detail on the drawings, and clamped the gussets in place, also using the plan detail as a guide.
Then I drilled one hole in each and cleco'd it down to keep everything in place. I have several scrap 1/2" pieces of particle board that I use to drill into, rather then into my work bench.
Now I could drill all the holes, deburr the rib and gussets, and finally rivet them in place.
By the way, I don't use my air drill for much if anything these days. My cordless drill does fine and is much less cumbersom.
With tonight's work I just topped 800 hours of total work on the project!
Align using the plans, clamp in place, then drill the first hole...
Then cleco the first hole, and drill all the rest.
