I could not figure out why I was stripping the phillips slots in the screws. I finally figured out that the nuts were bottoming out on the screw shank. So I added a 2nd washer under each nut and viola! I was able to get the screw heads to seat, and get the proper torque on them.
I AM NOW COMPLETELY DONE WITH THE MAIN WING SPARS!
Total Time for prep and assembly (remember I made most of the parts last year) of both spars was about 80 hours.
I think I'm actually out of things to do until I get some more .025 aluminum for wing ribs and control surface skins. That's OK, since I'm leaving for vacation this weekend.
