Aero Conversions issued a recent bulletin that the clips holding the piston wrist pins may not be secure enough, and may have caused 2 engine damage incidents where the clips fell out and scored the cylinders.
The fix is to replace the clips with newly specified clips that will hold better. But that means taking apart the heads, at least enough to slide the cylinders up and to replace the clips.
I think I can do all the work with the engine still on the airplane, so that's what I've started doing.
No fun, but it needs to be done.

Since I had to remove the baffles I took the opportunity to install the last two angle brackets that I couldn't get to because the intake manifold was in the way. Since the intake manifold had to come off to get to the heads, I could do it easily.
