Installation of the uAvionix echoUAT ADSB in/out system. It consists of an antenna (post and ball), coax antenna wire, WAAS GPS, and the echoUAT box (the brains of the system).
The antenna is supposed to be at least 5' away from the transponder antenna, so I had to install the antenna at the rear of the plane. Using the instpection hole on the port side of the fuselage I could install the antenna working from outside and inside. Took less than 10 minutes.
The echoUAT box is installed on a bracket that was already in place for the AHARS box for my MGL system. The antenna and wire harness are facing the rear of the aircraft.
On the next page is the install of the WAAS GPS antenna.
About 1.5 hours of work.
