Brief Description:  Oil relief seat

The bottom of the rear oil relief hole had some shallow gouges that radiated out like bicycle spokes (looked like the end of a drill bit that stopped too early). Sonex recommended I refinish the seat with emery cloth, like you would lap valve seats. So I found a wood dowel of the same diameter and glued on a round piece of emery cloth. Then I spun the dowel against the seat until it was all smooth. Seemed to work pretty well.

I tried to flush out any metal dust with some water, and then a chaser of oil.

Also put on the timing gear tonight. See the next log entry.
