It was pointed out to me at Airventure this year that the way my tailwheel pushrod was constructed, it could fail due to the angle of the pushrod, and the fact there was no bolt and washer to hold it all together if the bearing itself failed (look up my previous posts for my original pushrod).
So it seemed like a good ideat to make a new one. This is the start of that.
1. New chrome-moly tubing bent so the bearings will be on a more horizontal plane, 2. Rod end bearings that will accept a bolt and oversized washers. 3. AN-4 bolts with the heads cut off.
I will have the bolt welded into the tubing, then prime and paint everything.
