Brief Description:  Update

It's May of 2015 so I thought I'd throw in some updates.

I have 80 hours on the plane, now, and will be doing my first annual in a couple of weeks. The plane is flying great and the engine temperatures are great. My only gripe is that I don't think I'm getting the full 80hp. I don't over expect things from the AeroVee, but on a warm day at gross, the climb is REALLY anemic. I don't know whether the engine is not making full power or if the prop is not the best pitch for this plane. I have a ground adjustable prop, but it's already in the finest pitch, and if I go more coarse then the RPMs drop. Take-off develops about 2,950 RPM. It ought to be closer to 3,200 RPM.

But again, it's flying great and I'm having a good time. An experimental is never "done" so of course I'm working on things. Right now I'm making new gear leg fairings, since I didn't like the original ones, and how they interacted with the fuselage.

I have been doing some aerobatics; just rolls and loops, but I'm getting more comfortable with them, so I'll have to try stringing maneuvers together. Here are some vide links:

I plan to fly to Virginia in June, and Airventure in July.
