Brief Description:  More prime painting

The wheel pants were painted last night, but needed to hang overnight. After taking this photo the pants were taken out, lightly wet sanded with 1000 grit paper, and set aside. I'll put on one more coat tomorrow night, then let them sit for a week before clear coating (if you don't wait a week, you risk major orange peeling of the paint).

The upper cowl was found to have a long strip of pinholes from front to back, where resin did not fill the pores in the fiberglass mat. The primer/filler didn't fill the holes so I wet sanded the cowl and then applied a thin layer of SuperFill filler. Tomorrow I'll sand it out and recoat with primer before painting.

Now shown, I then hung the lower cowl and prime painted it tonight. Tomorrow it will get a wet sanding and then I'll put on the first coats of color.
