Brief Description:  Hydraulic Brakes (1 of 2)

Now I had to install the master cylinder assembly.

DO THIS WITH 2 PEOPLE! I did it alone and what a pain going in the cockpit, then under the plane, then trying to hold the nuts in place (with vice grips) while turning the bolts underneath the plane... Take my word for it. Do it with 2 people and cut your time in half.

I drilled out 4 rivets in the lower longeron (photo 1), held the new mounting angle in place with clecos from below (another difficult task with 1 person), and then up-drilled for the 4 new mounting bolts (they align with the old rivet holes).

Then I put the assembly in place and drilled the 8 holes in the bottom skin to hold the 2nd angle. Riveted that in place (I had 3 rivets left to do in the photo).

All of this puts a lot of metal chips in the cockpit, so do yourself a favor and vacuum it all out before it floats around in the cockpit on you during flight.
