Brief Description:  Final install of new throttle/mixture cables

See the post on 6/11/14 for a full description of the new cables.

Photo #1 shows the previous routing of the 2 cables.

Photo #2 shows the new routing of both cables (throttle & mixture). It also shows the aluminum arm that I made to hold the cables in their arch, and to keep them away from the exhaust pipe. The arm is attached to an unused engine block stud (with an M8 nylock fastener), and has a notch in front to accept both cables. I tie wrap keeps the cables from accidentally jumping out (I'm not sure they could or would, but I'm not taking chances).

Mixture Cable
The previous cable gave me trouble, and only had a 2" travel. So I bought one from ACS that had a 3" travel and a good interior sheath. It works so well that it's a little too slippery. It's not a ratcheting type, so the cable is free to slide, and slide it does. So far it stays in place during flight, but I'll keep watching it to see if it walks out at all.
