Brief Description:  Root gap seal

I forgot to take photos. I'll upload some later if I remember...

I'm using the RV rubber gap seal material. The right wing goes on conventionally. We used duct tape to hold it in place while we pushed the wing in and compressed the gap seal against the fuselage.

The left wing is a little different. When trimmed to the fuselage, the distance between the aluminum root doubler and the last RIB of the wing, was next to zero for 90% of the wing. That left no room for the bottom "leg" of the gap seal (c-shaped) to tuck under the root doubler. So we had to cut off the entire bottom leg of the gap seal, and install it with a 3M adhesive used for rubber vehicle trim and seals. We duct taped it in place and will let it sit overnight. Hopefully this will work!

Update for 5/18/14: The gap seal adhesive appeare to work. Photo 1 is the adhered seal, and it seems to be working fine.
