Brief Description:  Fuselage acoustic angles

What the heck is an "acoustic angle" you ask? The Sonex tail dragger is really good at translating the vibrations of the tailwheel (on the ground) to the oil-can-like fuselage sides. By making some .025 angles to go diagonally within each bay of the fuselage, it stffens the side, making them not vibrate so much. They get applied with double-stick tape, like carpet tape.

I am making (6) 24" long strips, 1-1/2" wide, and bending them in the middle.

The strips are so narrow that the brake would just push them back under the stationary angle. So I had to just barely start the bend with the brake, then go up and down the strip with the hand seaming pliers to bend them up around 80 degrees. Then I could use the brake to finish the last 10 degrees.

I may actually shave off 3/8" or so off one leg just to save weight. The 3/4" leg would attach to the fuselage.
