- Photo 1: after getting the full size pattern cut down to the right size, I aligned its edges with the actual (bent) gear leg fairing, and traced the edge of the pattern with a Sharpie.
- I then used tin snips and my Dremel cut-off wheel, to cut the end of the fairing down. I then files and sanded the edges smooth.
- Photo 2 shows the fairing in place, and photo 3 shows it from the other side.
After finding the right length, the full size pattern on the actual gear fairing.
