1. I was going to permanently install the exhaust pipes. Up to now everything has been test fit with the metal flange gaskets not in place. Per photo 1, when I went to install the gaskets, this is all the space I have left, and that's with the other flange flat against the engine block. The gaskets are WAY thicker than that. I have an email into Sonex tech support.
2. Yesterday I also found that the forward, pilot's-side EGT probe presses hard into the cowl. It's not supposed to do that. I have another question into Sonex about that. Can I bend the end of the probe?
3. In photo 2 I have installed the oil cooler.
4. In photo 3 I have marked for the oil cooler cutout in the cowl, but I'll wait until I test fit the cowl with the oil cooler in place and see how that looks. I drilled a small hole in the very center of the area I marked for cutting the cowl. I'll see how that hole lines up with the oil cooler before I cut. I many need to adjust.
