So I have no idea why even after using the prop guide per the instructions, my lower nose ended up too far forward, and the upper is too far back.

So after trimming what I could with the lower baffles, I had to bite the bullet and cut the lower nose section.

In these 2 photos you can see that with the upper and lower noses aligned with tape, the cut section sits back about 3/8" from the lower cowl. Although not ideal, this will end up working fine. I will simply add multiple layers of glass and filler to reattach the cut section with the lower cowl, and make a smooth transition. The pieces inside the air intakes will get trimmed and I don't think anyone will be the wiser.
