Brief Description:  Fuel shut-off

I first spent 20 minutes fixing an EFIS data wire that got pinched and possibly compromised. The wire was a foot too long anyway, and I didn't want to take the chance on it failing in the future, so I cut out the bad section and spliced it back together, shorter.

I got a small rod end bearing from Reid Supply, with 10-32 male threads. I had a hollow aluminum rod that I put a knob on the end of for the fuel shutoff.

In photo 1 I have the knob pushed all the way in, which is fuel full OPEN, and marked the rod for cutting, versus the threads of the rod end bearing. With the threads I can fine tune the shutoff travel.

In phto 2 the bearing is fully installed and the rod is temporarily in place. I will need to remove the panels a few more times, so final install will be later. I'm still working on the wiring in this area. In the end this rats nest of wires will be all tied up and neatly run.

In photo 3 you can see the fuel shutoff in the CLOSED (no fuel flow) position. When it's full forward against the panel it's in the full OPEN (full fuel flow) position.

Works like a charm!!
