Brief Description:  Mixture control bracket

Now that I know my mixture control needs to go somewhere other than on the throttle, I needed to make a bracket for the push/pull control.

I used a paper pattern to get the shape right, and to locate the holes already drilled in the bottom of the panel. Made the bracket from the same .090 alum as the panel attach brackets (light grey bracket in photo #1).

To get the bracket going in the right direction under the panel I bent the bracket down so the control pointed closer to the thrust line instead of the down-angle of the panel.

With the control cable in place I decided where the mixture and throttle cables would exit the firewall, and marked the firewall for drilling. My titanium bit is too dull, so I need to get another one to get through the firewall.
