I welded dimple dies onto some vice grips to more easily dimple things like ribs and spar channels.
Regular pliers would not have had enough leverage to dimple the materials, so I used the vice grips, for which you can change the spring pressure. The lever arm that opens the vice grips is too tight to operate with my hands, so I do need to use another pair of channel locks to press the release handle to open the vice grips.
All this to do it on the cheap, without resorting to buying pneumatic tools ($$$!!!).
