Brief Description: LEFT Tank Install fuel filler & drain fitting
OK, time to start sealing the tanks! Watching the Vans video several times helps a lot.
Quite a bit of the 2.25 hours was just prepping everything: sealant, popsicle sticks, another deep cleaning of the parts, a glass of acetone for sealant-covered stuff, getting the gloves out, getting the right yokes for the squeezer, etc. The actual work probably took me half of that time.
The inside of the fuel filler isn't pretty, but I got good fillets, and all the rivet shop heads are well covered. The outside cleaned up really well with acetone.
I mixed too much sealant for the job. But now I have a better idea for future work.
