Worked on the nose area of the root rib. A 9/16" hole needs to be drilled. I only have bits up to 1/2", so I started with a small bit and went up until I got to the 1/2". Then I used a unibit to with a 9/16" step. The step was not tall enough to get through the total thickness of all the materials, so I went half way through on one side, then flipped over the parts and did the same from the other side.
I test fitted the bulkhead fitting and flop tube.
I dimpled the baffle, and machine countersunk the nutplate rivet holes in the reinforcing plate. I put all the parts together in a bag to await sealing. Technically I don't need to seal the nutplates and the reinforcing ring because the base of the fuel level sender will be sealed, and will cover all those parts. But I'm going to err on the side of caution, and seal it all.
