Brief Description: Filling fiberglass vertical stab tip
I've been working on and off to fill the fiberglass tail tips, but am only now logging it.
I filled the voids with a flexible foam. It melts a bit from the West Systems epoxy, so I have to do it in two installations, as the epoxy settles the first time.
Mixing the epoxy with some micro-balloons makes it opaque, and sands a little better.
Even stirring slowly, air bubbles are introduced into the mix, so when it cures you can see surface bubbles. Those will have to get filled before painting.
