The trailing edge of the fiberglass tip is much wider than the trailing edge of the rudder. One side was pretty flush with the skin, but on the other side (photo #1) it was quite off.
Before riveting the tip, I ground down the high side with the belt sander.
Riveted everything without any issues.
The trailing edge of the tip is much fatter than the trailing edge of the rudder.
I had to grind down a good bit of one side of the trailing edge, to get it more flush with the skin
