Drilled the holes in the skin/tip. A video I watched said the instructions say to locate the holes 1.5" apart. I never found that in the plans or the written instructions.
The interior flange of the tips were 1/2" deep on mine. The plans say there needs to be a minimum edge distance of 1/4" for the fiberglass. Since it's 1/2" deep, that means the edge distance for both the fiberglass and the aluminum will be 1/4" each.
Holes drilled 1.5" apart.
Made the preliminary cut for the RIGHT stab tip, then quit for the night.
