Brief Description: Left stabilizer fiberglass tip - Page 1 of 3

A lot of the back end of the tip has to be cut off to clear the counterweight arm. It's best to cut it a little large, and use a file and sanding to work it down to the final line.
The tips of the stabilizer are very pinched, so they don't sit inside/against the stabilizer skin. That makes alignment and drilling very difficult.
So with a little trial and error, and some work on the disk sander, I made a thin plywood insert to hold the fiberglass apart.
Thin plywood insert to keep the fiberglass spread to match the horiz stab.
With the wood in place, it's much easier to move, align and drill the tip.
