- I updrilled the holes using 5 different drill bits, of greater sizes, to make sure I got a clean hole.

- Ran the AN4 bolt throgh, with the washers. This was tricky. I had nothing that could hold all the stacked washers in alignment with the bolt hole. Needle nose pliers were still too fat to fit. So I used a piece of sewing thread through the washers, and "dangled" them in alignment with the hole as I ran the bolt through.

- Right = 1 thin and 2 standard washers + the oversized thin washer in the plans.
- Left = 2 standard washers + the oversized thin washer.

- Put on the final washer and nut and tightened, to see how the elevators moved together. There was no binding that I could feel, so everything is good!
