- Although the elevators need to be "in trail," the most important thing seemed to be to make sure the counterweight arms were flush with the elevator skin. So I used duct tape on both sides, to keep the arms flush. Worked great.

- The bushing suggested, from McMaster Carr, is too big to fit in the center bearing, so it need to be made a little thinner. I chucked it in my hand drill, then spun it while also running it across the ScotchBright wheel. I first tried with find sandpaper, but that was taking forever. The wheel did the trick.

- You need to use a long drill bit to make sure the drill bit stays straight as it goes through the bearing.
