Brief Description:  Horiz Stab Skeleton and Skin

So here is where scratch building the Sonex helps get through the lack of Vans' clear instructions.

1. Ribs 0005 and 0006 need to get drilled to match the skins. But the skeleton is free to float a LOT even with the skin cleco'd.
2. Vans has you draw a centerline on only the forward flange of 0005. Not enough.
3. On page 6-3 they cavalierly say to put 0005 and 0006 into the assembly, and mark the locations of the holes in the flanges (using the skins).
4. But if you don't draw centerlines on EVERY flange (top, bottom and ends) then there is NO way you won't screw up the locations on the holes in the flanges. they will not end up centered, and you will likely get many of the holes too close to the edges of the flanges.
5. That goes for the top and bottom flanges of HS702. You MUST draw a centerline (aligned with the holes at the outboard and of the flanges) if you want to have any hope of getting the holes in the right locations.

In photo #3 you can see I have drawn centerlines on EVERY flange, so with the skin in place I can tweak the frame location to make sure the centerlines appear in the centers of the holes in the skins.

Also, detail F-F does not give any dimensions for trimming the flanges of the front spar. There is no reason whey they can't give dimensions. I waited until NOW to see how much I needed to trim. In photo #3 you can see the angle I've drawn to clear 0006. I'll cut this and finish it when I remove the skin.
