Dimpled everything. The instructions say to machine countersink the trim tab spar and the hing, but they are thin enough to dimple, so that's what I did. I think it will be stronger this way, and the flush rivets looked as they should.
To get the holes in the second hinge half (that attaches to the elevator) I slipped the hinge between the elevator skin and the elevator spar. I could then do all my alignments and it was all held in place.
Then I started (but did not go through) holes in the hinge, using the holes in the elevator skin as a guide. Then I took the hinge apart and drilled the rest of the way through the hinge on the work bench.
